Orange is a student-curated exhibition of visual art by VIU students in the Art and Design Department. Students were asked to ponder and to express what “orange” means to them, and how this colour inspires their work. The show features paintings, sculptures, prints, ceramics, and mixed media works by 19 students in Visual Art and Graphic Design.

What is Orange?

Is it a colour? A feeling? A statement?

For this exhibition Art and Design students were asked what “orange” meant to them. The artists were given a subject completely open with the small theme of interpreting the colour in their own way.  Orange will feature 19 artists from the Art and Design programs and who were allowed them to submit works in any type of media. Artworks by Mary Anne Molcan, Matthew J Fox, Joan Langtry, Tuyet Anh Nguyen, William Lucas, Julia Craig, Nesta Morgan, Alyssa Johnson, Lucy Bonar, Eddy Graham, Ciro Di Ruocco, Tabitha McKechnie, Lori Sorensen, Denise Tierney, Daniel Kelly, James Hensman, Jason Ritter, Amber Morrison, Maggie Hinbest, and Kaylene Johnstone.
