After completing his BA in Liberal Studies, Earl St. Denis returned to his previous successful career in engineering. He lives on Gabriola Island, near Nanaimo, and travels extensively.

Steven Eckland graduated in 1995 and has for the past few years found himself primarily engaged in the field of global education. Under the nom de plume "John Kolman" he spent the remainder of the 90s as a touring musician, meeting Van Morrison and Ken Kesey. Now living in Asia with his wife and two cats, this "romantic at heart" professes to maintain a love for reading, song-writing, critical thought, the outdoors, sampling fine wines, and exploring the vast realms of inner space.

After graduation, Andrea spent a number of years in arts administration with the Nanaimo Art Gallery before moving to Tillicum House, the educational centre of the Nanaimo First Nation. In this position she is able to combine her psychological and educational training with the general attitudes to life which she feels Liberal Studies fostered.

Faith completed a double major in Psychology and Liberal Studies before going on to an MA in Clinical Psychology at York University in Toronto . After two years in the doctoral program there she decided to take time off to gain experience in the field, and is now working in clinical practice in Nanaimo and teaching Psychology at Vancouver Island University. Faith credits Liberal Studies with giving her the general skills to succeed at graduate school.

Since graduating from VIU she has taught English in Japan, co-managed a hostel near Florence and entered the MA program in Children's Literature at the University of British Columbia.
