Bill Gough, MFA, is an award winning producer, director and writer of television drama. His plays have been produced in both Canada and the United States and he has worked extensively in series television, including news & the documentary area. He's won such awards as the GeminiActraPrix AnikGenieBijouBlue Ribbon -American Film Festival, and the Columbus Film Festival’s ‘Chris Plaque.’

Published author of many books, ranging from non-fiction to poetry, Bill is currently adapting, with his writing partner, Caren Moon, his Novel, 'Chips & Gravey' as a series.

He & his partner created Pilot Hill Press for Indy Publishing, and, after getting all rights back, he’s now running all his books through Gull Pond Books via the website.

A passionate believer in education for all, Bill was one of the co-founders of The St. John’s Free School in Newfoundland, in 1972.  His MFA in Creative Writing is from Goddard College in Vermont. 

Teaching Philosophy

Bill brings to his classes a love of writing, an experiential approach to writing drama, a wide range of production experience, and a keen memory of how it felt when he was first starting out.
