A perpetual endowment fund managed by the Vancouver Island University Foundation to fund the Ralph Gustafson Chair in Poetry.
The Vancouver Island University Foundation welcomes your help in honouring one of Canada’s great poets. In helping us to recognize the life and work of Ralph Gustafson, you will also ensure that, each year, a Canadian poet will receive support and recognition. Since only the income from the Ralph and Betty Gustafson Trust will be used, the impact of the Chair will continue indefinitely and encourage many deserving poets.
Ralph Gustafson’s bequest was a generous one, sufficient to motivate the Vancouver Island University Foundation to launch a drive for funds to endow a Chair of Poetry that will be filled by a poet-in-residence for a full academic year. With your assistance, this idea can become a reality.
Your gift should be made payable to the Vancouver Island University Foundation In Trust with a note that this donation should be directed to the Ralph and Betty Gustafson Poetry Trust. An official receipt will be provided for all donations of twenty dollars or more.
All donations are tax deductible, and will be recognized with a formal receipt for tax purposes.
