The View Gallery is a contemporary art gallery on the Nanaimo campus of Vancouver Island University. The VIU community acknowledges and thanks the Snuneymuxw, Quw’utsun, Tla’amin, Snaw-naw-as and Qualicum First Nation on whose traditional lands we teach, learn, research, live and share knowledge. The View Gallery presents all types of visual art and design made by professional artists, students and community-members. A non-commercial site, the Gallery presents a mixture of programming and art events that range from curated and touring exhibitions to exciting showcases of student art and other VIU special events.
