Chronicle

The View Gallery presents “Chronicle: The Graduation Show”, an exhibition by the 2017 Visual Art Major Graduating Class. In paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures, Emily Bourke, Brittney Dorman, James Halliday, and Denise Tierney give a visual record of their artistic education and explorations at VIU. Looking to both the past and the future, “Chronicle” tells the story of four Vancouver Island artists in a range of colours, forms, and moods. Though their work is richly varied in media, subject and execution, there is a common thread of storytelling throughout -- of personal narrative, contemporary beliefs and ancient mythology.
